The Fourth Avatar of Lord Vishnu takes his place in the evolution in half human and half animal form of "Narasimha" Avatar who had the face of a lion and the body of a man.This heralds the transition from an animal world to the human world.
The fifth Avatar is a pygmy, as we know in the beginning of the creation man was a pygmy. This was the" Vamana" Avatar.This was Lord Vishu in Vamana form who went to the court of king Bali and asked him for three steps of land. King Bali looked at his size and asked him to take something more. Bali was a demon who had become the emperor of the universe by vanquishing all Devtas and who out of sheer inflated ego, granted his wish. Lord Vamana now increased his size to such an extent that in two steps He covered the universe and Bali had to offer his head for placing the third step. Bali was pushed to the pataal lok and mother earth was saved from his torture. Thus the incarnations of Vishnu Bhagwan have been our savior since creation.
