Our birth chart is the sum of what we have earned karmically in our past lives. This promise shows the kind of life we would lead in this janam. But to get a better understanding of our karmic debt we need to see the position of our mahadasha and antardasha lord at the time of our birth. Since Lagan is the first house of our chart, these two planets should not be in 6th, 8th or 12th house from lagan. Next in strength is the lagan lord, again these planets should not be in 6th, 8th or 12th house from the placement of lagan lord. If either one or both conditions are there then the person meets with lots of hurdles and failures in life. He will not have good friends and will be misunderstood. He may not have good physical health and his mental equilibrium would also be under question. The same thing has to be kept in mind for the antar dasha lord.
Now see if these two planets are placed in 6th, 8th and 12th house from 5th house ie 10th house, 12th house and 4th house from lagan, if yes, then you have purva janam dosh. It may give you putra dosh, pitr dosh or guru dosh. But a planet placed in 8th house from lagan is in a Kendra from 5th house. This dosh can be rectified with prayers and charity but a planet placed in 12th house from lagan is in 8th house from 5th house. This is a serious flaw and can give the person anguish. The same has to be checked from the 10th house and if malefics like Saturn, Rahu and mars get associated with these planets the karmas of the person are bad in this life too and will suffer badly in bad dashas.
If these two lords of mahadasha and antardasha at birth are associated with good planets and are in Kendras and trikones they give you immense luck. So an ordinary person can attain high status or a person who does not have star looks may become a star on the basis of strength of these planets.
