It is the most dreaded planet as it brings sorrow, pain and anguish of the highest kind. But it works according to the ownership of different houses. If these are good houses the results are not so bad. Also the houses where Saturn transits during the sade-sati, if they are strong in sarvastakvarga, the results are invariably good. Saturn bestows high honours in the Sade sati phase provided the birth chart has promise and the dasha running is conducive. Sade sati does not supersede the promise in the chart. It being a karak for profession does bring downfalls and honours of the highest kind. It’s paradoxical how you can feel happy in one area and unhappy in the other.
For e.g. – In her sade –sati Mrs Indira Gandhi lost her father but became the Information Minister in the cabinet of Late Lal Bahadur Shastri and later became the Prime Minister of India in the same seven and a half years of Saturn’s transit.
Morarji Desai became the Prime Minister in his third sade-sati but also lost his position during the same phase.
Mr Charan Singh also got the honour of being the Prime Minister during this phase but also fell from power in the same Sade sati.
Mr Sanjay Gandhi won the elections from Amethi but also died during the same sade-sati.
Mahatma Gandhi won us the freedom during his sade-sati but also got assassinated during the same period.
The point here is that Saturn teaches us to be humble, hardworking and doing good karmas. It does give high political career, wealth and honours but it also is a karmic planet so the punishment too is hard hitting. It teaches patience, looking after the poor, old and the downtrodden. Saturn has a very strong bond with his mother so be careful if you do not treat your mother well. If you are the owner of a factory and are having labour problem or if your servants are giving trouble or if you hurt your feet or legs below your knee, then Saturn is starting to give trouble. It has to be immediately rectified with prayers and charity.
