The next process of evolution was that as the submerged earth began to re-emerge,the amphibious life started. The second Avatar of Bhagwan Vishnu was "Koorma" or the Tortoise. This is the time when the seas were churned and the "Koorma" bore the brunt of "Mandrachal Mountain" that was used as a churner.
